unboxed: AMC Javelin AMX

Today I opened up an AMC Javelin AMX. This is a pretty sweet Hot Wheel. Most of the time the cars released are pretty common colors. This one I think is very different. The brown metallic flake is awesome to see.

Today I am posting from my new windows phone. Not sure how well this will go because the WordPress app does not rotate to landscape and my phone has a nice keyboard. Enough about phones… Lets talk Hot Wheels!

I found a new car I would like to post. It is the OLDS 442 Muscle Mania 2011 9 of 10.

It has some pretty cool details; like the hot wheels logo in front of the rear wheel, 442 behind the front wheel and the rear spoiler. Enjoy the photos!

While taking some pictures of the ‘67 Custom Mustang I was also taking a few pictures of one of my favorites from the 2011 New Models. I was hoping to find either another blue or green one, but those seem to be hard to come by. Instead I found a red one. I hope you enjoy the photos!

I found another very cool car to open up. This one is a 2010 Nightburnerz: 7/10 ‘67 Custom Mustang. I really need to find a good place to take pictures so that I can get the nice paint jobs to show up. I really like the Mustang written across the trunk. I didn’t even see that until I reviewed the pictures. Enjoy!

unboxed: ‘70 Monte Carlo

I think I am going to start and do something that I haven’t done in a very, very long time. Open up some Hot Wheels. I was very nervous about opening up a Hot Wheels car. The pictures are so much better out of that plastic bubble. As I find some duplicates of cars that I have I will post pictures of them.

The first of these will be the 2011 Muscle Mania: 6/10 ‘70 Monte Carlo. I have found this car in multiple versions:

  • Green
  • Orange
  • Baby Blue

IMG_6651On accident I bought the green one twice, and so it gets opened. Enjoy the picture. I will take a few more and update this post.

2011 New Models: 6/50 Dodge Challenger Drift Car

Car 6 of the 2011 New Models is a re-make of a popular muscle car, but with a more modern style. It is very interesting combining a sport (drifting) that is fairly modern, with one of the more popular muscle cars, even if it is the current re-make.

2011 New Models: 5/50 Custom ‘11 Camaro

This was another of the first New Models from 2011 that I found. Everywhere I looked I found the red version. Then one day in Brookings SD I found the gray and orange version and thought I found something great. However a few weeks later the gray and orange version was everywhere. Oh well, they are still both  great looking cars.

2011 New Models: 4/50 ‘69 Copo Corvette

Who doesn’t like a Corvette? And what is better than 1 Corvette? How about two. Here is another set of Corvettes from the 2011 New Models.

2011 New Models: 3/50 ‘10 Ford Shelby GT-500 Super Snake

Here is car number 3 from the 2011 New Models. The Super Snake looks like one fast car, and I have to say, they really did a good job on this one. It looks just like the real one.

2011 New Models: 2/50 ‘72 Ford Gran Torino Sport

UPDATE: After my original post I was lucky enough to find another version of this car only available at Wal-Mart. This new version is blue, and it has the “Hot Wheels” logo across the windshield. This car has to be one my favorites from the 2011 New Models.

This was the first of the really cool 2011 New Models I found. I still have yet to see another green one in the wild. The red ones are easily found in just about any store.
